AI Agent and Automation Companies in Puerto Rico, Compared (October 2026)

AI Agent and Automation Companies in Puerto Rico, Compared (October 2026)
If you search "AI agents Puerto Rico" today, you get a mix of news, a survey, a conference, and a handful of firms that build agents for local businesses. None of those results tells you who does what, for whom, at what level. This page does. It lists every provider we could verify that builds AI agents or automation for businesses in Puerto Rico, says plainly what each one focuses on based on its own website, and includes us, with the same scrutiny.
Two things to know before the list. First, "AI agent" now covers everything from a $600 WhatsApp bot to a multi-agent system that runs a company's sales and compliance. The right vendor depends entirely on which of those you need. Second, October 2026 is an unusually busy month for AI in Puerto Rico, and that changes what the search engines show. We cover that at the end.

What changed in October 2026
Three events put "AI agents" and "Puerto Rico" in the news in the same week, which is why the results for these searches look different than they did in September.
Discover Puerto Rico launched AI agents for travelers and meeting planners. The island's destination marketing organization announced agents built with Satisfi Forward, grounded in verified local data, to connect visitors with hotels, attractions and destination management companies. Coverage ran in Breaking Travel News, TTG Media, PAX News and TravelPress between October 2 and October 6, 2026. It is the largest public AI agent deployment in Puerto Rico to date, and it is not a vendor you can hire; it is a product of the tourism authority.
The Caribbean AI Summit runs October 9 and 10, 2026 in Puerto Rico, billed as the region's largest AI conference, with a builder hackathon.
V2A Consulting's State of AI in Puerto Rico Survey continues to be the most cited local dataset. Its 2025 edition reports that 86% of surveyed Puerto Rico organizations use AI in some form (V2A Consulting, 2025).
None of this changes who builds agents for businesses on the island. It does change what shows up when you search, and it is why a dated comparison is more useful than any single ranking.

How to read the table
The "Best fit" column is our reading of each company's own positioning, not a verdict on quality. Three questions separate these firms more than anything else:
Who runs it after launch? Some providers hand you a tool and training (IslaIntel's platform, Lizardi's Luna). Some build and leave (custom software shops). A few operate the agents for you as a managed service and stay accountable for results. AutoPilotPR is in the last group; it is the most expensive model and the right one only when the owner wants the outcome, not the system.
What is the agent trained on? A receptionist bot trained on a script is a different product from an agent trained on fifteen years of a specialist's emails. Ask every vendor what data the agent learns from and how facts (prices, availability, policy) are kept separate from the model's writing.
What stops it from making a mistake with money or customers? Ask for the approval flow, the activity log, and the cost cap. If a vendor cannot show you where a human says yes before a quote or a refund goes out, you are buying a chatbot, whatever it is called.
Provider by provider
AutoPilotPR (us). We train agents on how a company's best people actually work and run them inside the systems the company already uses: WhatsApp, email, the CRM, the booking system, Shopify, QuickBooks. Five jobs: market, sell, serve, manage relationships, comply. Every build ships with human approval gates, a full activity log, per-agent cost caps, written consent from any person whose work trains an agent, and AI disclosure to customers. Entry point is a $2,000 Systems Audit credited to the first build; managed service from $4,500 a month. Our own site reached Google page one and AI-engine citations in under 30 days running on the same agents, and a 15-year villa business runs its inquiries, holds and payment links on them today. We are the right call for an owner who wants the department handled, and the wrong call for someone who wants a $200 bot.
IslaIntel. A San Juan firm that positions itself as an outsourced "AI Resources Department." Two products: IslaWaves, a governed automation platform with a large integration catalog and a library of agents, and Otto, which edits a website's copy, images and SEO from plain-language instructions. They publish guides and white papers, run a Discovery Sprint as the entry point, and list clients in wellness, physical therapy and restaurants. Strong choice if you want a platform and a team that teaches your people to use it.
Mediatek Puerto Rico. San Juan, enterprise and mid-market. Their framing is "AI for your business, but first, data": they build data foundations and then autonomous AI systems on top, with a four-level AI readiness model. If your company has real data infrastructure work to do before agents make sense, this is the kind of firm to talk to.
HummingAgent. A US automation agency with a Puerto Rico service page. Custom agents, AI voice receptionists, a private GPT offering and workflow automation. Delivery is remote. Worth a look specifically for phone-based reception.
Lizardi Technologies. Spanish-first and priced for small local businesses: Luna answers WhatsApp around the clock, and websites start at $595 with two-week delivery. If your need is "someone should answer the WhatsApp at 11 pm" and the budget is small, this is the honest fit.
Dreamer AI. A US firm with a dedicated Puerto Rico page about bilingual voice agents and chatbots for hotels, restaurants and clinics. Their argument for Puerto Rico as an "AI-ready market" is sound; the delivery is remote.
Odanexus. Deliberately practical: document processing, drafting, triage, reporting and integrations, with human review as a design principle. Their own page says to apply AI "where it removes a real bottleneck," which is the right instinct for operations teams.
W@W Digital. A full-service digital marketing agency in Puerto Rico that has added AI automation to performance marketing and web development. If you are hiring a marketing agency and want AI inside it, this is that.
LABAAP. A Vega Baja software company serving the Americas and the Caribbean with custom development and enterprise solutions. AI is one capability among many; the fit is custom software projects.
Vex AI. Based in New Jersey with a Spanish-language landing page for Puerto Rico. Enterprise AI software and model development. Not a local firm, listed because it appears in local searches.
How to choose
Start from the job, not the vendor. If the job is "answer WhatsApp after hours," buy the cheapest thing that works and move on. If the job is "the business should keep selling, serving and staying compliant when I am not at the desk," you are buying an operating system for the company, and the questions that matter are who runs it, what it learns from, and what stops it from making an expensive mistake.
Ask every provider on this list for the same three things: a live demo on your data, the approval flow for anything that touches money or customers, and the activity log from a real deployment. The answers will sort the list for you faster than any ranking.
FAQ
Who are the AI agent companies in Puerto Rico? As of October 2026, the firms building AI agents or automation for Puerto Rico businesses include AutoPilotPR, IslaIntel, Mediatek Puerto Rico, Lizardi Technologies, Odanexus, W@W Digital and LABAAP on the island, plus HummingAgent, Dreamer AI and Vex AI, which serve Puerto Rico from the US mainland.
Which AI agent company in Puerto Rico is best for a small business? For a small budget and a single need such as WhatsApp coverage, Lizardi Technologies (Luna) is priced for that. For a platform with training, IslaIntel. For a fully managed department, AutoPilotPR.
What is the difference between an AI chatbot and an AI agent? A chatbot answers questions. An agent takes actions inside your systems: it checks availability, drafts a quote, places a hold, sends a payment link, files the result. The difference you should test for is whether the vendor can show the approval step and the log for those actions.
How much do AI agents cost in Puerto Rico? Published prices on this list range from about $200 a month for a WhatsApp agent (Lizardi's Luna, per Google's summary of their offering) to $4,500 a month and up for a managed department (AutoPilotPR). Most providers quote custom work per project; enterprise data and AI engineering (Mediatek, LABAAP) is quoted.
Did Discover Puerto Rico launch AI agents? Yes. In early October 2026, Discover Puerto Rico announced AI agents built with Satisfi Forward to help travelers and meeting planners find verified local hotels, attractions and destination management companies. It is a tourism product, not a vendor for businesses.
Is Act 60 relevant to choosing an AI agent provider? Act 60 firms tend to run lean teams and need to stay decree-compliant, so the approval, logging and disclosure practices of the provider matter more than usual. This is not legal advice; confirm obligations with your Act 60 advisor.
How is this comparison kept current? It is refreshed monthly from each company's public website and from Google's and AI engines' current results for Puerto Rico AI agent searches. The update date is at the top.
If you want to see what an agent running one of your departments would actually look like, book a discovery call. We start with a Systems Audit and tell you plainly which job to automate first, including when the answer is a cheaper vendor on this list.
